I was born and raised in Cass City. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a secondary degree. I subbed in the area for 8 years and during that time I received my Elementary Endorsement. I taught at Evergreen Elementary School for two years and then transferred to Deford, where I taught second grade for 12 years. After Deford closed I came to Campbell and have taught second gradehere since then. I have written and received four Detroit Edison Grants and have been on numerous curriculum committees. I believe a teacher needs to be involved in the latest updates to help become a better educator. I am currently the SAM writing leader for our building. I have a sense of humor and I use it in my teaching style because I think students should enjoy learning and have fun and rewarding experiences while doing so.

When I am not teaching, I like to spend time with my husband and 4 children. My oldest son, Adam is a PE/Health teacher and coach.  He is married and lives with his wife Stacey and my grandson Preston in Port Sanilac. My son,Aaron, has a degree in Criminal Justice and is a Military Policeman in the National Guard and deployed to Afganistan.  My daughter Krystee has a degree in Theraputic Recreation and is now serving in the US Army as a combat medic and hopes to become a physican's assistant. Finally, my youngest son Kevven is attending college studying psychology.
